our purpose

Free To Be Ministries is a non-denominational, non-profit Christian ministry for women of all ages, backgrounds, beliefs, shapes, and sizes. Our mission is to encourage women to walk in the truth of God's Word so that they are free to be.

We believe that Jesus came to save and set free any and all who will accept His free gift. And according to John 8:31-32, knowing truth is how we find that freedom!

Therefore, we offer live truth-filled messages at our events, as well as share encouraging content on our Facebook, Instagram, and other social media platforms.

We hope to help others deepen their connection with and understanding of God and His Word, and we pray that doing so will enable them to live out the free and abundant life Christ offers them.

If you abide in my word...you will know the truth,
and the truth will set you free.
— John 8:31-32

our story

On November 8, 2017 a few of us gathered together in a Kindergarten classroom to talk about the dreams God had placed in our hearts. We knew God was calling us to start a ministry, but had no idea what that meant. So we just showed up, sat in miniature, kindergarten-sized chairs, and prayed.

Over the next several months, we continued to meet and pray and seek God for guidance. Over time, “Free To Be” was officially named, a mission statement was formed, and new team members joined in to support.

Before officially launching, we created a promo video (see above) to help spread the word about this new ministry, but more importantly to share with all the message Christ brings - that you are free to be!

On March 30, 2018 we launched, and by June of that year we held our very first event - a women’s Bible study created to help women understand what it means to be free.

That September, a larger event took place - The Freedom Rally. This two-day women’s conference was filled with speakers and music and connection and fun.

Being less than a year since our first meeting, we all were inspired and excited over what God had done.

We continue to follow God in eager anticipation of what His future plans are for Free To Be. We pray and trust for His will to be done. Our hope is that all who encounter Free To Be find the freedom Christ offers. We are truly grateful to be on this journey with you.
